The BA Chamber Orchestra
The Bibliotheca Alexandrina Chamber Orchestra (BAO)
was founded in March 2002. It consists of 14 string players who
play symphonic and chamber music works written in various epochs.
Since its beginnings, the BAO gives regular performances, playing
with renowned soloists like Ramzi Yassa, Hassan Sharara and Kathrin
Rabus, and conducted by Sherif Mohie Eldin, the director of the
BA Arts Center, Adrian Sunshine, David Crechenzi and many others.
The BAO has also cooperated with international orchestras in joint
performances, as the London Chamber Players, Geneva Chamber Orchestra,
and the World Festival Choir from Norway.
