A system is set up to ensure that media professionals (e.g. journalists, filmmakers) seeking access to the Library of Alexandria are able to obtain the information they require.

For interviews and/or documentary film work:

Members of the media are asked to please contact the Media & Communications Department via email (media@bibalex.org) or fax prior to their visit and provide the information listed below. An email requesting additional information or confirming details of the visit will be sent by the Media & Communications Department.

• Date/time of proposed visit
• List of requested interviews
• List of proposed shooting sites, if applicable
• Journalistic credentials (identification or proof of affiliation)

Upon arrival at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the media coordinator will guide journalists through their visit.

For media coverage of special events:

Press releases are published for every special event. Special media permits are given to designated reporters to cover the event.
